This year’s Stakeholders’ forum took place on 12th April 2016 at Nairobi Club. Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) gave a presentation on phase 2 and the missing links (the presentation is currently available here {insert: http://www.uhda.or.ke/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/KURA-PHASE-II-PRESENTATION-AT-UHDA-STAKEHOLDERS-FORUM.pdf} .They requested for our cooperation especially in surrendering of land to create enough road corridors for the expansion.
Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company was there to answer the members’ burning questions. The forum was updated on the progress of the reinstatement of the damaged pipes that had delayed since the commencement in February. Nairobi City County were also present to address the issue of beautification in Upperhill. They promised to share the public space utilization plan once it was complete.
National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) made a brief commentary on their core functions and their partnership with the Association. Capitol Hill Police Station commented on the security in Upperhill noting that insecurity had decreased significantly.
